Our Principles

The main guiding principles we value in our people, customers, partners and vendors.

Transparency & Honesty

Being able to communicate often and directly is a big way about how we conduct business. It enables us to rise up to situations while they are easy to manage.

Passion for the quest

We enjoy the journey, we love what we do. People at Interlink understand that learning is never finished, processes and tools are never perfect.

Bias for Action

We trust and expect the best out of people. Acknowledging shortcomings while optimizing for action makes sure we have shorter cycles for effort, which results in faster iteration.

Kindness & Inclusivity

Work is meant to be enjoyed. Being nice is just the bare minimum, we have an obligation to be inclusive and do more to have a positive impact in our industry.

What we are building towards

Technology for a more inclusive society.

We craft business productivity tools that enable people to remain connected, with freedom of access to information and self-determination.

Quality of Service (QoS) in Internet connections should be measured not just by speed and reliability metrics, but mainly through what is done with subscribers' Internet traffic data.

It's not all about the profits.

Bridging the gap between open and closed societies requires more than business as usual. Companies that are motivated only by profits are not suited to make a positive impact.

We created the MacLane Library, a digital space in Wayports and the web, designed for information dissemination. It serves as a free platform for creativity and skill acquisition.

We are legendary supporters of EDRi

The European Digital Rights (EDRi) is a collective of 44 NGOs advocating for user rights and protecting people's privacy online. Take a look at some of their victories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Interlink based?

We are about 20 passionate individuals globally distributed among Argentina, Brazil, France and the United States.

We love working remotely and creating products for people everywhere. We use English as our main language.

Is Interlink a startup?

Yes! Our story begins with Interlink SA, an Argentinean company with more than 25 years in the Software & Telecommunications market, but since 2019 we have branched with new companies into the territories where we hired our talent for a modern, global approach.

Do you offer discounts for education?

Of course! For qualifying institutions, we offer several benefits depending on the product and use case, just come talk to us about your project and we'll see how we can help!

How can I contact you?

By using the chat on our website, you can reach anyone at the company! From there, we can point you in the right direction or even set up a call directly in the chat.

Cool, isn't it? 😎

Does it work with HFC?

Yes, Strings supports most of the industry-standard and popular hardware brands for Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks, along with HFC-specific metrics and charts. We also have a Channel Browser, which gives a unique, in-depth look at your interfaces and their relevant metrics.

Does it work with FTTH?

Yes! Strings supports Fiber-to-the-Home networks and most of the popular GPON vendors, along with FTTH-specific metrics and charts. We also have a PON Port Browser, which gives a unique, in-depth look at your ports and their relevant metrics.

Does it support provisioning?

We are working on it, and are on schedule to complete it during Q3 2021. If you're curious on our progress, do talk to us on this website's chat or in Wayports, we'd love to set up a demo and show you what we've got.

Can I invite my coworkers?

Of course! Strings is built for remote collaboration around network statistics and indicators.

Just assign a role to one of your peers and get to work!

Does it run on Windows?

Yes! we have set the baseline specs for the type of hardware that was popular in 2009, so you should be able to run Wayports on most of Windows PCs. See the minimum requirements.

Does it run on the Mac?

Yes! we have set the baseline specs for the type of hardware that was popular in 2009, so you should be able to run Wayports on most Macs. See the minimum requirements.

Does it work on the web?

No, we have decided not to use a web-based approach, since there are significant limitations with it. Wayports is much more than a website, and making it run as one would not be an effective way to experience it. However, we are working on making a camera mode available on the web.

Does it use webcam video?

Currently, no. We have chosen to focus on avatars for virtual presence, which is a less intrusive way of engaging with others. However, we do plan to enable video for users on stage during Q3 2021.

How much does it cost to create a VR/AR/XR application?

It depends. Mainly, think about the number of platforms you want to target (Mac, Windows, Mobile, Web) and then picture the minimum amount of features you would like to have. We can discuss these! Book time with us here.

What is a virtual environment?

A virtual environment is a common meeting place where people are represented by avatars, they can use audio which works by proximity, and can join private work spaces.

Custom features are important in order to create exciting experiences that integrate with other services or workflows.

Can you reproduce a city as a virtual environment?

While we could take a city and scale it down, or reproduce a small section of it, it is something that usually takes a considerable amount of processing power. Doing so would mean that only users with the latest hardware will be able to run it effectively, and it will also require bigger amounts of bandwidth.

Can you submit the final product (app) to the App Stores?

Yes. We can do that on your behalf, and handle any maintenance or updates for a small fee. Just know that our company name will be shown as publisher of the application, instead of your company name. This is set by each App Store and cannot be modified unless you obtain your own accounts.
